Thank you to everyone who contributed to Humboldt Park Friends’ 100 for Humboldt campaign!
Your generosity is taking root, with two groups of tree plantings already completed. We expect another round of trees to be planted this fall.
This was a tremendous community effort, and we should be proud of what we have accomplished together.
Unfortunately, because of the increased cost of trees, our original $25,000 budget will not cover the purchase price for the 100 trees we had hoped to plant. We are raising the campaign goal another $9,000 to $34,000 to continue to fundraise and cover the cost of all 100 trees. The trees vary in cost, but most are about $350 rather than the $250 we had budgeted.
We ask for anyone in the community who has not already contributed to consider making a donation to 100 for Humboldt. Each tree adds beauty and contributes to cleaner air in our park and community.
